Thank you for using Chip.IT to help add a layer of protection to your property. Please use the guide below to learn how to install your Chip.IT so that it can scan properly with your cellphone device.
NOTE: Ensure that the area you are placing your Chip.IT device is mounted in a location that can be accessed within 1 inch of your cell phone’s NFC reader. If you are unsure of where your NFC reader is on your device, please visit our “How To Scan” page HERE.
- Select an area to place your Chip.IT on your property. Please ensure your area is within a 1 inch range to your NFC reader on your cellphone for access to read your record. (Tip: temporarily place the Chip.IT and attempt to scan it to ensure it scans properly.)
2. Use the provided alcohol prep pad included with your sticker or token to clean the placement area thoroughly. (Note: It is very important that you ensure your Chip.IT location is in an area that can be accessed to scan your records when needed.)
3. If you have a sticker or token, peel the backing and secure it to your property. If you have a Block, screw or bolt on your device in the desired location. (Note:The red stickers are not rated to be placed on metal surfaces directly. Placing the red sticker on metal will result in the Chip.IT to not read properly.)
